Mass Communications: Make and send an email

After you make an email, you can send it to all clients.

To make and send an email, do this procedure.
Note: Only practice managers can get access to the Mass Communications feature to make and send email.
  1. Open Vello from your PIMS.
    Note: If you use Cornerstone, sign in to mycornerstone.idexx.com to get access to Vello.
  2. Select Mass Communications.

    Vello shows a Mass Communications screen.
  3. Select New Communication.

    Note: if you want to make changes to a draft email, select the horizontal ellipsis (  ) that shows adjacent to the applicable newsletter. Then select Edit:

  4. In the Name box, enter a name for the email.

    Note: The email name shows only to you and to other staff.
  5. In the Description box, enter general information about the newsletter.

  6. In the Email Subject box, enter an email subject.
  7. Select Next.
    Vello shows a Content dialog box. The dialog box has a content builder:

  8. Add images and text.
  9. If you want to add sections to the email, select Add Section as necessary.

  10. To do a check of the newsletter content, select Preview.

  11. When the newsletter content is prepared, select Next.

  12. Select Send to all clients or Send a test as necessary.

    Note: If you select Send a test, Vello shows a box that you use to enter the email address that will receive the test email.
  13. Select Send.
