Branches and the Vello client portal
Different branches of your PIMS site can show in the Vello client portal. And PIMS sites of other organizations can also show in the client portal.
One PIMS site can have many branches connected to it.
Branches can have different physical locations (for example, two veterinary practices that are in different locations). And branches can have the same physical location (for example, many different departments that are in one physical hospital).

Vello client portal sign-up for clients
Before a branch and related branch information shows in the client portal, a client must complete the initial sign-up to the client portal for the branch. A client must complete the initial sign-up for each branch independently of other branches. After they complete the sign-up, the applicable branch shows in the client portal.
- In a medical service reminder that they receive from the branch, select the link or button

How branches show in the Vello client portal
The Practices section of the home screen in the client portal shows a Change Practice button. Clients can select Change Practice to select a site and get access to information for the branches.

In the Practices section, a client can select a different organization's site. Each site syncs pet information to the client portal independently of other sites. If a client change sites in the client portal, different information can show for the same pet. If a site does not have an applicable patient record for a pet, the client portal does not show the pet information.
Kristine Kochanski completes the initial sign-up for Westbrook branch and New York branch. As a result, the two branches and their related information show together in the client portal. Kristine also completes the initial sign-up for a different site, New Moon Veterinary Clinic.

Branches and online scheduling
After a client completes the initial sign-up to the client portal for a branch, the branch can show as an available location for appointment requests.
To make an appointment request with a branch, a client must select the correct site from the Practices section in the client portal.
