Practice information management system (PIMS)
Software that a veterinary organization uses to do clinical work and related tasks. PIMS examples include ezyVet, Cornerstone, and Neo.
Integration
Software that connects a PIMS to different apps. Vello is an integration for your PIMS. As a result, the integration makes Vello features and functions available for your PIMS. Vello features and functions are only available with the integration.
SMS registration
A step that is necessary before your practice can use Vello text messaging. After you complete SMS registration, your practice receives a registered phone number.
Send status
A status that shows in Vello for messages. The send statuses are scheduled, sent and not sent.
Medical service reminder
A type of message that Vello can send to clients automatically. The message tells the client that a medical service is due for their pet. To send medical service reminders, Vello uses due dates for patient medical services in your PIMS .
Vello client portal
The Vello client portal shows clients information about their pets. The information includes appointments, prescriptions, and medical services. To get access to the Vello client portal, clients can use a web browser or a mobile app.
Vello mobile app
To get access to the Vello client portal, clients can use the Vello mobile app. The mobile app is available for Apple iOS and Android.
Online scheduling
The Vello client portal has an online scheduling system. Clients can use the online scheduling to make appointment requests.
Sick visit
An appointment for a patient who has a medical problem.
Wellness visit
An appointment for a patient who is healthy and a general check or general service is necessary.
Appointment request
A type of message that a client can send to a practice from the Vello client portal. The message tells the practice that the client wants to schedule an appointment. The message also gives the practice information that includes date, time, and which type of appointment the client wants.
