Vello can use different methods and intervals to automatically send medical service reminders. For example, Vello can send a medical service reminder in an email 10 days before a service is due.

1. Open Vello from your PIMS.
   Note: If you use Cornerstone, sign in to mycornerstone.idexx.com to get access to Vello.
2. In the left sidebar, select Medical Service Reminders.
   

   Note: If the left sidebar is closed, select the medical service reminders button:
   
   
   Vello shows a Medical service reminders screen.
3. Activate Send medical service reminders.
   Note: If Send medical service reminders is deactivated, Vello does not send text messages, email messages, or postcards for medical service reminders.
4. In the Postcard reminders section, select or clear the settings as necessary to configure the intervals for postcards.
   
5. In the Text & email reminders section, use the text boxes and drop down boxes to configure the intervals for text message reminders and email reminders.
   
   Note: The available intervals that you can configure are:

   • Between 0 and 45 days before a service is due
   • Between 2 and 12 months before a service is due
   • Between 1 and 45 days after a service is due
   • Between 2 and 12 months after a service is due

   Note: If Send medical service reminders is activated, you must select a minimum of one Text or Email setting for the three reminders in the Text & email reminders section.
6. In the Text & email reminders section, select or clear the Text and Email settings to set the method.
   Maria Eames at Brookvane Veterinary Care wants to send medical service reminders in an email to clients 10 days before a service is due. To do the configuration, Maria:

   1. Enters 10 in the text box of a reminder in the Text & email reminders section
   2. Selects day(s)
   3. Selects before
   4. Sets Email
7. If you set Email for a medical service reminder, use the Email message box to enter a custom message that shows to clients in the email reminder.
8. Select Publish Changes.
