About thank-you email
Vello can automatically send a thank-you email for client appointments.
A thank-you email can include:
- A link to a Vello survey or a survey from a different system
- A link to a reviews site for your practice (for example, Google reviews)
You can configure Vello to send a thank-you email for specified appointment types. For example, you can configure Vello to automatically send a thank-you email after a patient has an appointment for vaccination or grooming. The available appointment types for the configuration show in the Post Appointment screen. Vello syncs each appointment type shown in the screen from your PIMS.
Vello automatically sends a thank-you email for an appointment type one day after you set an applicable appointment to one of these statuses in your PIMS:
- Complete in ezyVet
- Departed in ezyVet
- Completed in Neo
- Completed in Cornerstone
Note: ezyVet customers: Vello only sends a thank-you email if you set the applicable appointment to a Complete status or Departed status.
Note: Cornerstone and Neo customers: Vello only sends a thank-you email if you set the applicable appointment to a completed status.
Note: Vello always automatically sends a thank-you email one day after you make the change to an appointment status. It is not possible to configure Vello to send the email at a different day or time.
Note: Vello does not send thank-you email for:
- Euthanasia appointments
- End-of-life appointments
- Deceased patients
As a result, Vello does not show euthanasia or end-of-life appointment types as available to configure in the Appointment section of the Post-Appointment Communications screen.
Note: You can make changes to the thank-you email text. But it is not possible to:
- Add formatting to the text (for example, bold or italic)
- Make and save different thank-you emails
Note: Vello can only send thank-you messages as email. Vello cannot send thank-you text messages.
