Online booking: Configure a visit type to use direct booking

After a practice manager does the necessary configuration for a visit type, clients can use the Vello client portal to make an appointment directly in your PIMS calendar.

To configure a visit type, do this procedure.
  1. Open Vello from your PIMS.
    Note: If you use Cornerstone, sign in to mycornerstone.idexx.com to get access to Vello.
  2. In the left sidebar, select Appointment Booking.
    Note: If the left sidebar is closed, select the appointment booking button:

  3. Set Online Appointment Booking to Enable.

  4. In the Appointment Categories section, select the pencil button for the applicable visit type.

  5. If you want to change the name of the visit type, use the Client-Friendly Appointment Name box.

  6. In the Online Booking Type section, select Direct Booking.

  7. In the Configure Availability section, select Manual Configuration.
  8. Use Book to Appointment Type to select the appointment type that is available for clients.
  9. Set Default Appointment Length to the applicable time.
  10. In the Days section, set available time ranges for each day.

    Tip: You can set more than one time range for one day.
  11. In the Provider Availability section, select the staff members and rooms that you want to make available.

    Note: If you do not want a staff member to show as available for appointments, deactivate the Enable setting for the applicable staff member.
  12. Select Done.

  13. Select Publish Changes.

Clients can make appointments directly in your PIMS calendar for the visit type.
You can do this procedure again to configure other visit types to use direct booking. For example, you can do the procedure again for sick visits.
