Message configuration for appointment types

You can configure the information that Vello shows in appointment messages for your practice's appointment types. You can also start or stop appointment messages for appointment types.

Note: The appointment types that show in Vello are synced from your PIMS.

Information that you can configure appointment messages for an appointment type to show:

Drop-off and pick-up times
Recommended diagnostic screening
Fecal sample checklist
Appointment instructions

Drop-off and pick-up times

Vello usually shows the scheduled appointment time in appointment messages. The scheduled appointment time uses the appointment start time from your PIMS calendar.

As an alternative, you can configure appointment messages to show drop-off and pick-up times for an appointment type. For example, you can configure appointment messages for a consultation appointment type to show:

A drop-off time of 8:00 AM to 8:15 AM
A pick-up time of 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM

Message settings for each appointment type have a We'll notify client when pet is ready for pickup setting. If you select We'll notify client when pet is ready for pickup, appointment messages do not show a pick-up time.

Recommended diagnostic screening

You can configure appointment messages for an appointment type to show recommended diagnostic screening. You can also configure the message to show a price range.

Note: A price range is the only information that you can include or adjust for information about recommended diagnostic screening in appointment messages. For example, you cannot change the diagnostic screening text or formatting.

Fecal sample checklist

You can configure appointment messages to show a fecal sample checklist for an appointment type. For example, you can configure only wellness appointment types to show a fecal sample checklist.

Note: You cannot change the information that the fecal sample checklist shows.

Appointment instructions

You can configure appointment messages to show appointment instructions for an appointment type. For example, you can configure appointment messages for wellness appointments to show diet instructions.

Note: To use the same appointment instructions for more than one appointment type, copy and paste the instructions between the appointment types..

Start or stop appointment messages

You can start or stop automatic appointment messages for an appointment type. For example, Vello can automatically send appointment messages for grooming appointments but not send them for dental checks.

Note: Vello does not automatically send appointment messages for end-of-life appointment types.
