Appointment messages that Vello automatically sends can show appointment instructions. The instructions are applicable to messages of an appointment type. For example, messages for wellness appointments can show diet instructions.

1. Open Vello from your PIMS.
   Note: If you use Cornerstone, sign in to mycornerstone.idexx.com to get access to Vello.
2. In the left sidebar, select Pre-Appointment Communications.
   
   Vello shows a Pre-Appointment Communications screen.
3. In the Appointment Types section, select Edit for the applicable appointment type.
   
   Vello shows a dialog box with appointment type settings.
4. Set Custom Instructions to Included.
   
   Vello shows an instructions box.
5. Enter appointment instructions in the box.
   
6. Select Done.
   
7. Select Publish Changes.
