After a practice manager activates online booking for Vello and does the necessary configuration, clients can make appointment requests for visit types. Use Vello to add appointment requests to your PIMS calendar.

1. Open Vello from your PIMS.
   Note: If you use Cornerstone, sign in to practice.vello.idexx.com to get access to Vello.
2. In the left sidebar, select Text Messages & Requests.
   

   Note: If the left sidebar is closed, select the text messages and requests button:
   
   
   Vello shows a Text Messages & Requests screen.
3. Find and select the applicable appointment request.
   
   Vello shows messages that are related to the appointment request.
4. Find the message for the appointment request, then select Add to Calendar.
   
   Vello shows an Add Appointment to Calendar dialog box.
5. In the Appointment Type box, select the applicable appointment type.
   
6. If necessary, use the Date box, the Start Time boxes, and the End Time boxes to set the appointment date and time.
   
7. Use the Provider box to select the applicable staff member for the appointment.
   
8. Use the Room box to select a room for the appointment.
   If the staff member and the room are available for the appointment, Vello shows the Available status:
   
   
9. Select Add to Calendar.
