Send a text message to a client or other persons

You can use Vello to quickly and easily send text messages to a client or other persons that have mobile phone numbers in a client record in your PIMS.

To send a message, do this procedure.
Note: Neo customers: It is not possible to use other mobile phone numbers in a client record in Neo for Vello text messaging.
  1. Open Vello from your PIMS.
    Note: If you use Cornerstone, sign in to practice.vello.idexx.com to get access to Vello.
  2. In the left sidebar, select Text Messages & Requests.

    Note: If the left sidebar is closed, select the text messages and requests button:

    Vello shows a Text Messages & Requests screen.
  3. Find and select the applicable client.
    Vello shows the client messages.
  4. In the Type your message here... box, enter applicable text.

    Note: Cornerstone and ezyVet only: If you want to send a text message to a different mobile phone number:
    1. Select Additional Contacts in the conversation view
    2. Select the applicable mobile phone number

  5. Select Send.

Vello sends the text message.
