ezyVet only: Configure available times and staff for Direct Booking (planning guides method)

A practice manager can use ezyVet planning guides to configure the available times that the Vello client portal shows to clients for appointments.

To configure times and staff, do this procedure.
Note: This documentation is only applicable to the Direct Booking beta feature. If you want to try Direct Booking, contact ezyVet customer support.
Note: As an alternative to this method, a practice manager can configure available days and times for appointments directly in Vello.
  1. Open Vello from ezyVet.
  2. In the left sidebar, select Appointment Scheduling.

  3. For the applicable visit type, select Edit.

    Note: The applicable visit types are:
    • Wellness visit
    • Sick visit
  4. In the Booking Type section, select Direct Booking.

  5. In the Calendar Availability section, select Use Planning Guides.

  6. In the Planning Guide Configuration section, select Select planning guide type as available or select Use empty slots as available.

    Note: If you want appointments that clients schedule with direct booking to use an appointment type of a planning guide:
    1. Select Select planning guide type as available
    2. Select the applicable appointment type in the Choose a planning guide appointment type box
    If you want appointments that clients schedule with direct booking to use an appointment type and to use available times in your calendar:
    1. Select Use empty slots as available
    2. Select the applicable appointment type from the Book to appointment type box
  7. In the Provider Availability section, select the staff members and rooms that you want to make available for appointments.
    Note: If you do not want a staff member to show as available for appointments, deactivate the Enable setting.
  8. Select Done.

The online scheduling system has the changes. When a client uses the client portal to make an appointment:
  1. Vello gets planning guide information from ezyVet for the applicable staff member
  2. The client portal uses the planning guide information to show only the days and times that the staff member is available
