Send diagnostic results to a client

After you use IDEXX VetConnect PLUS to send diagnostic results, clients can open them from an email or text message, or with the Vello client portal.

  • Make sure that you have a VetConnect PLUS account
  • Make sure that the PIMS contact record for the client has an email address or mobile phone number
To send a result, do this procedure.
Note: This procedure sends a diagnostic result with a full set of diagnostic data. As an alternative, you can send a diagnostic result with a format that is easier for clients to read. For more information, refer to Send diagnostic results to a client (client-friendly summary).
  1. Sign in to VetConnect PLUS.
  2. Find the diagnostic result that you want to send.
  3. Select the share button.

  4. Select Vello.
    The Vello setting.
    VetConnect PLUS shows the file name of the PDF diagnostic result.
  5. If you want, enter applicable information in the Add comments box.
  6. Select Share.
    VetConnect PLUS shows a confirmation message.
Vello:
  1. Sends a text message or email message to the client that they can use to open the diagnostic result
  2. Makes the diagnostic result available to select and open in the client portal
  3. Makes a communication record in the applicable contact record in your PIMS for staff to know that Vello sent the diagnostic result (ezyVet and Cornerstone only)
