Send diagnostic results to a client (client-friendly summary)

Diagnostic results that you use IDEXX VetConnect PLUS to send to clients usually include a full set of diagnostic data. As an alternative, you can send results as a client-friendly summary, which is easier for clients to read.

  • Make sure that you have a VetConnect PLUS account
  • Make sure that the PIMS contact record for the client has an email address or mobile phone number
To send a result, do this procedure.
Note: To send diagnostic results with full diagnostic data, refer to Send diagnostic results to a client.
  1. Sign in to VetConnect PLUS.
  2. Find the diagnostic result that you want to send.
  3. Select the share button.

  4. Select Client friendly summary.

    VetConnect PLUS shows settings that you use to make the client-friendly summary for the diagnostic result.
  5. Make settings and enter information as necessary.
  6. Select Share > Vello.
    VetConnect PLUS shows a confirmation message.
Vello:
  1. Sends a text message or email message to the client that they can use to open the diagnostic result
  2. Makes the diagnostic result available to select and open in the client portal
  3. Makes a communication record in the applicable contact record in your PIMS for staff to know that Vello sent the diagnostic result (ezyVet and Cornerstone only)
