Verification steps for client access to the Vello client portal

The Vello client portal has verification steps for client email addresses or mobile phone numbers. The verification steps are necessary before a client can get access to the client portal.

Vello automatically does verification of the client's mobile phone number. As a result, the client can sign in to the client portal with their mobile phone number.
If the client wants to sign in with their email address and they did not use it for sign-in previously, email verification is necessary. To do email verification:
  1. In the client portal, the client selects Please verify your email address:
    Please verify your email address button
  2. The client does the verification steps
Note: As an alternative method for email verification, a client can select a button in an email reminder. As a result, Vello automatically does email verification and the client can sign in to the client portal with their email address.
A client selects a button in an email reminder to get access to the client portal. The types of buttons that clients select include:
  • A button to confirm an appointment
  • A button to read appointment information
  • A button to make an appointment

Vello automatically does the verification of the client's email address. As a result, the client can sign in to the client portal with their email address.
If the client wants to sign in with their mobile phone number and they did not use it for sign-in previously, verification is necessary. To do verification of a mobile phone number:
  1. The client enters their mobile phone number in the sign-in page of the client portal
  2. Vello sends a verification code to the client's device
  3. The client does the verification steps

  2. The client enters their mobile phone number in the sign-in page of the client portal after they use one of these access methods:
    • The Vello app
    • Your practice's sign-in link
    • Your practice's QR code
Verification of the client's mobile phone number is necessary. To do verification of a mobile phone number:
  1. Vello sends a verification code to the client's device
  2. The client does the verification steps

As a result, the client can sign in to the client portal with their mobile phone number.

If the client wants to sign in with their email address and they did not use it for sign-in previously, email verification is necessary. To do email verification:
  1. In the client portal, the client selects Please verify your email address:
    Please verify your email address button
  2. The client does the verification steps
Note: As an alternative method for email verification, a client can select a button in an email reminder. As a result, Vello automatically does email verification and the client can sign in to the client portal with their email address.
  1. A client did not sign in to the client portal previously
  2. The client enters their email address in the sign-in page of the client portal after they use one of these access methods:
    • The Vello app
    • Your practice's sign-in link
    • Your practice's QR code
