Let clients use the client portal to tell you that their pet is deceased

To let clients use the Vello client portal to tell you that their pet is deceased, a practice manager must do the necessary configuration in Vello.

Note: Only ezyVet and Neo customers can control what clients can do in the Vello client portal. If you use Cornerstone, clients can only make prescription refill requests and change pet photos.
To do the configuration, do this procedure.
  1. Open Vello from your PIMS.
  2. In the left sidebar, select Client Permissions.

    Note: If the left sidebar is closed, select the client permissions button:

    Vello shows a Manage Your Client Permissions screen.
  3. In the Allow pet owners to mark pets as deceased section, select Edit.
  4. Select Direct update.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Select Publish Changes.

Clients can use the client portal to tell you that their pet is deceased. And Vello syncs the information to the applicable patient record in your PIMS.
