Cornerstone only: Templates as a method to configure available appointment times
An optional method to configure available times for appointments with the Vello client portal is to use Cornerstone calendar templates.

The template method is an alternative to configuration of available days and times for appointments directly in Vello. The template method is good to use for veterinary staff who are available for appointments at many different days and times during a week.
Maria Eames is DVM at Brookvane Veterinary Practice, a veterinary practice that uses Cornerstone with Vello. Maria wants to make sure that clients only make appointments for times that they are available. To make sure, Maria's calendar in Cornerstone is configured with a calendar template. The template uses an appointment type of Vaccinations (15 mins).
- Monday, 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM
- Tuesday, 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM
Then, the practice manager at Brookvane Veterinary Practice configures the available days and times that show to clients in the Vello client portal for vaccinations. To make sure that the client portal shows the correct days and times, they make a decision to use calendar templates.
- They activate templates as a method to control available times for appointments
- They make the Vaccinations (15 mins) appointment type for templates available for appointments
- They select Maria Eames as a staff member who is available for appointments
- Vello gets calendar template information from Cornerstone for Maria Eames
