About Vello Mass Communications
Use Vello's Mass Communications feature to send high-quality emails to all clients.
Examples of emails that you can make and send with the Mass Communications feature include:
- Newsletters
- Promotions
- Changes to your practice open hours
- Staff changes (for example, new staff announcements)
Note: Only practice managers can get access to the Mass Communications feature to make and send email.
Note: Mass Communications emails cannot have file attachments (for example, a PDF document).
Content builder for Mass Communications email
The Mass Communications feature has a content builder that you can use to:
- Add images to an email
- Add text to an email and make formatting changes (for example, headings or italic text)
- Add sections to an email and to change the sequence of sections
- Save an email as a draft
- Show a preview of email content
- Add links to other sites and content
Add images to an email
In the content builder, Vello has three methods that you can use to add images to an email:
- Add an image that Vello automatically makes available
- Upload an image from your device
- Add an image that you previously uploaded
To add images that Vello automatically makes available in the content builder, use the Vello library tab.
To add uploaded images, use the My photos tab.
Access to sent emails, draft emails, and scheduled emails
The Vello Mass Communications screen shows a list of:
- Emails that Vello sent with dates and times
- Draft emails
- Scheduled emails
If an email entry shows Draft or Scheduled you can select its vertical ellipsis ( ⋮ ) to:
- Make changes to the email content
- Remove the email
If an email entry shows Sent, you can select View report to get access to the campaign report for the email.
