Let clients add a pet directly

To let clients add pets directly in the Vello client portal, a practice manager must do the necessary configuration in Vello.

Note: Only ezyVet and Neo customers can control what clients can do in the Vello client portal. If you use Cornerstone, clients can only make prescription refill requests and change pet photos.
To do the configuration, do this procedure.
  1. Open Vello from your PIMS.
  2. In the left sidebar, select Client Permissions.

    Note: If the left sidebar is closed, select the client permissions button:

    Vello shows a Manage Your Client Permissions screen.
  3. In the Create New Clients & Pets section, select Allow Creation of a New Pet.

  4. Select Publish Changes.

Clients can add a pet in the Vello client portal. And Vello tells your PIMS to make a new patient record with the pet information.
